[Wifi goes to go chase after the ball, feathers preening after he had to drill in the message that this is his battlefield and he will take this very seriously, tyvm. It's a basketball ego thing, I'm sorry.]
You've always been aspiring. Though I am enjoying the extra spark.
[Okay. He did practice a little in the dead of night, but he can't make that shot. But the whole point of the Garlean third eye is precision so at least he has that.
But hey, he at least makes a shot from the three point line. Don't ask him to anything fancy with his dribbling though. Actually, he might not even be able to dribble well.]
[He goes and picks up the ball and points at the mark on his forehead.]
Garlean's third eye allows for extra precision seeing as they lack the ability to cast magic. Their aim is quite remarkable. Had this been my actual vessel I wouldn't have made it.
[He stands three feet from where he took the shot and tries again. It misses wildly barely hitting the backboard.]
I also might have been practicing from a single spot.
Lacking the ability to cast magic, huh? I guess in some ways, I'm kinda like that. That move I did just now was Midorimacchi's originally. He's got enough precision to shoot the ball into the hoop from literally anywhere on the court.
I can copy those moves, but since those guys are natural monsters, it takes a lot out of me to do the same.
Copy? That's a talent on it is own you know. Perhaps you do have a spark of magic you don't even know about.
[He taps his chin.]
But you all support each other, do you not? Rely on strengths and weaknesses alike. Together there is little you can't accomplish. Fail and succeed together.
Well . . . at Teikou, we used to. I'm not really sure what happened since I haven't remembered it yet, but I do know that we all went to different schools. And I definitely don't feel that upset about it either.
...
Being on Kaijou's team, it feels completely different. Not everyone on there is a super talented genius, but it's more fun. I really want to see victory with them.
And if that's how I felt on Kaijou specifically, I can only imagine that Teikou was probably a different story.
[Passes the ball back, catch buddy, you're gonna PRACTICE!!!!!]
Yeah, one in Middle School - that was Teikou. And now in high school, I'm on Kaijou's team.
Drills, huh . . . ? Well, I usually take a quick jog for like 10-20 minutes just to wake up, and then you gotta stretch. Push ups, situps, stretches, all of the basic exercises you start off with.
And then I can do a couple of different things. I can try to shoot the ball in the hoop, and see how many times I can do that in succession. Sometimes I try to shoot the ball in from every spot on the court. I'll even just dribble the ball a thousand times, as boring as that is, but you need to be good at your basics too.
[He seems relaxed as he continues to dribble the ball and in almost an instance, instead of throwing the ball, he sidesteps and tries to get around him.]
Re: Day 249 - Morning
[He laughs though and just pats his back as they enter the gym. He absolutely knows he's going to lose.]
But don't worry. You'll have a chance to prove your skill.
Re: Day 249 - Morning
[He's so easy to tease, but listen he's already at the gym and doing stretches.]
Re: Day 249 - Morning
[What are stretches? He tosses him a ball.]
We are here to have fun.

From the spot he is standing, he throws the ball across at least half the court which lands right in the basket.]

Give it here.

Re: Day 249 - Morning
Emecchi actually has a skill or two...

Re: Day 249 - Morning
You were on two teams?
[Though he walks up to him.]
I'm quite sure you would defeat me easily in an actual game, so what kind of drills do you do?

Re: Day 249 - Morning
Why don't you try to take a shot getting past me? Guarding is a taller person's job, yes?
Re: Day 249 - Morning
You want me to . . . are you sure about that . . .
Re: Day 249 - Morning
Re: Day 249 - Morning
[He huffs, but he starts to dribble the ball anyway.]
Tell me when you're ready.
Re: Day 249 - Morning
[He's been standing straight this whole time, but he does at least get into a position that look like he could swat at a ball.]
You may begin.
